Erik Buell, of motorcycle fame, left the world of motorcycles a number of years ago to devote full time to music. He has released new albums each year since 2024.

From the hard rock swagger motorcycle era of the “Anthem” album on Rat Pak Records, his music has moved to a different place.

The “Dust Settles” album of 2024 showed a unique and personal blend of Americana, rock and country. As a new independent artist in these genres, “You're Not Alone…” charting on Americana radio shortly after release was a validation of the appeal of this honesty to audiences.

In 2025's  “Ride Free” this personal style got even stronger. All core tracks were recorded in one day, so there is a vibrant live feel to the album. From the joy of being young to the pain of lost love to reflections on the hardships of Appalachian life, the songs here are personal and heartfelt. Several songs off this album also got airplay on indy radio.

The 2026 album is “The Road”. Recorded down in San Marcos, TX at yellowDOG studios, producer Dave Percefull brought in Cody Braun and Geoff Queen from Reckless Kelly to add a flavor of red dirt to it.

In Erik's words:

"Some years ago it became clear I had done everything I wanted in the motorcycle world, and I found myself taking my second love of music to being number one, mostly driven by songs I needed to write.

Because motorcycling was only part of a pretty crazy life…one lasting a lot longer than it probably should have, given choices made!

And like many folks, life hasn't been easy, and these songs come from the range of joy and despair in all those years, and from relating to what others have experienced."
